2. Information we collect
Depending on your role and how you use the service, we may collect:
- Account and contact information: name, email address, mobile number, password in protected form, role, and the corporate or restaurant associated with your account.
- Business information: corporate, office, restaurant, manager, billing, delivery-address, and company-profile information.
- Order information: selected menu items, quantities, prices, delivery schedule, delivery address, notes, status history, expenses, invoices, and delivery challans.
- Enquiry information: name, email address, phone number, description, and submission details provided through Contact Us.
- Technical and security information: login sessions, device platform, push-notification token, IP address, request and authentication events, and operational error logs.
- Uploaded content: files and images intentionally uploaded through supported administrative features, such as company logos and spreadsheet imports.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- authenticate users and maintain secure web and mobile sessions;
- create, update, coordinate, fulfil, report on, and support workplace meal orders;
- send service communications by email or push notification, including order and delivery updates;
- respond to enquiries and provide customer support;
- generate invoices, delivery challans, operational reports, and financial summaries;
- prevent abuse, investigate errors, maintain security, and improve reliability; and
- comply with applicable legal, accounting, and regulatory obligations.
4. How information is shared
We share information only when needed to operate Yumm Serve. This may include sharing relevant order and contact details among the corporate, restaurant, and operations users involved in an order. We may also use service providers for cloud hosting, database infrastructure, transactional email, mobile push notifications, and application monitoring.
These providers process information on our behalf for the services they supply. We do not sell personal information or use it for third-party behavioural advertising.
5. Data retention
We retain account, order, invoice, challan, expense, enquiry, security, and audit information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain business and financial records, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations. Retention periods can vary by record type. Information is deleted, anonymised, or restricted when it is no longer required, subject to lawful record-keeping needs.
6. Security
We use administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information, including encrypted network connections, access controls based on user roles, protected passwords and session credentials, and security logging. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your choices and rights
You can review and update supported profile information from My Profile. You may also ask us to access, correct, or delete personal information associated with your account, withdraw consent where applicable, or raise a privacy concern.
To submit a request, email contactus@yummcorp.com using the subject "Yumm Serve privacy request". Include your registered email address or mobile number and the company associated with your account so we can verify the request. We may retain information that we are legally required or otherwise permitted to keep.
8. Children
Yumm Serve is a workplace service intended for authorised business users and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. International processing
Some service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to use appropriate contractual and security safeguards.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Yumm Serve evolves or legal requirements change. We will publish the revised policy on this page and update the effective date. Material changes may also be communicated through the service where appropriate.
